Hi there ! Welcome to the French story of my Welsh adventures. No matter where you come from, you are about to enter the life of a 20 y/o French girl trying to make her way in the beautiful (and crazy) city of Cardiff. But first, let me introduce myself.
I’m Lucie, a 20 years old French girl, eager to share the amazing experience of studying in a foreign country.
What now ? You knew that already ? You want more ? Alright, you asked for it. Let’s go for the full background story !
I come from a small city, right in the middle of France, called Clermont-Ferrand. You have never heard of it ? Shame ! We have amazing typicall food, Michelin industries, and a rugby team that often makes it to finals but… rarely wins (go ASM, my heart still belongs to you).
I was born there, grew up there, studied there … until I decided that good cheese, tires and rugby were not enough for me anymore.
That’s why, a few months ago, I dived right into the great adventure of …
… ERASMUS !!!
Indeed, as a student in European Studies in English, I got to chose among several universities to spend the first semester of my third year. And guess what ?? I did not chose Cardiff ! But that’s a story you’ll be able to read about later.
Anyway, here I am, probably part of the last Erasmus student generation in the UK, sharing my adventures in this crazy city with you, but also some important tips and info I wish I’d had known about before getting there. If you are thinking about jumping in the abroad experience, have doubts about it, or just want to read some fun and honest stories, well, you’re in the right place my friend !
